A forgiving guy with a sense of humor, what could be better?
“…He never heard the gunshot.” — Murray Langston, “The Unknown Comic”
My husband calls them “horse de ovaries”. :(
Yeah, spell check is manual, also.
I would not have even TRIED to spell that!
You think that’s bad Opal? You should see what auto correct would have done to it!
In Texas it’s pronounced Horse Doovers.
Fred Sanford called them ‘horse divers’.
I’ve never been partial to Hors d’oeuvre. But I do like a nice appetizer before dinner.
Isn’t “Oh, shoot” a euphemism for a similar-sounding word?
I actually laughed out loud on this one. I know how she feels, except I usually hate Auto Correct because it makes up stupid words and if I don’t proof before I send I send all kinds of stupid messages.
I used auto-correct. Once. Then I killed it. I’ll not have a bunch of transistors telling me what I meant to say !!
The walk the strip…
Just stick it in quotes and pretend you meant to spell it that way.
Spell it “orderves” or “ordervs” and write on, write on, write on.
That’s when I change the word to appetizers.
My Father-in-Law loved to mess with French words. He’d call the Horse Duvers. Tasted the same!
Don’t worry, Opal. I’m sure you’ll be able to explain next time Pearl pays a visit.
It also might give her a good laugh. You never know! Humour comes from all sorts of places.

Just use Spell Check. It’ll give you a list of words and you don’t have to click on any one of them.
Is this like “swave and deboner?”
ooh la la! everyone here parlez vous très bien so good.
Spell check, oui oui; autocorrect, mais non! Zut alors!
