Andy: Why are you playing "World of Warquest"?! You're supposed to be studying for finals! Peter: I know, I know, I just want to find a mage to give me an intellect buff. Tomorrow's my history exam and I'm going to need every bit of help I can get. There's a druid...There's a warlock...There's a priest...Where's a mage?? Where's a mage?? Andy: Where's an Asprin? Peter: Oh, cool! The priest says he'll pray for me!

Sounds more like he’s playing Finals Fantasy.

It’s always nice to have a priest pray for you. Good Luck.

What you really need, Peter, is Archilon Shadowheart intimidating your teacher out of giving that final! It’s the only hope you have. :))

I was in college during the formative years of “Dungeons & Dragons”. The campus wargaming group was known as “Grommets”, and it became a habit to refer to those people who dropped out due to too much D&D playing as “Grommeting Out”. With the news that the entire campus has since been wired for the Net, I’m wondering how many students are now dropping out due to WoW?

I’m beginning to wonder if it would not be better to NOT allow kids near computers. You must be 21 and already have a life before you play —PLAY— this game.

Well, at least they got the update dots done for members who are signed in. But to anyone not signed in, like new visitors to the site, it still has the update dots not done on sunday, looking lame as usual…

No doubt their priest will kill a chicken for you while he prays, Pete. But not REAL chickens will be hurt in the making of the video game. No wonder there’s no soul music any more.

Forget the aspirin, where’s the plug to the computer?

@cabrobst: I am 18, and I have been running fairly successful websites since before high school. (I’ve been making some decent money off them since my freshman year.) Currently I’m working toward starting my own software company.
Age isn’t the problem. (World of WarCraft’s subscriber base skews heavily toward the 30+ age range, anyway.) The problem is the average students’ apathy and bad work ethic.

I’m all for chicken sacrifice, as long as it’s done with a deep fryer.

redwall_hp what type of websites do you have? I have a son who needs to earn money. And I don’t want a scam either. Is it something you personally do with computer and advertise to help others with? We have a neighbor that does that to contracts himself out.

I was taking a 2 day class in turned leather shoes this weekend and talk turned to facebook (where many of us congregate) and could NOT believe how many said they play the GAMES there -a total waste of time! The class was super and everyone’s shoes are “turning” out just great! Mine are the only “first pair” which will have silk embroidery ;-)

I remember repeating this joke in WoW after reading this. Asked a Mage for Arcane Intellect, he asked why and I told him I had a test and he said “if only…” before giving me the buff.
