Luann’s birthday is September 21. Today’s horoscope:Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Your boyfriend wants someone who isn’t a Virgo.

Personally, I don’t believe in astrology. In fact, we sagitarians are very skeptic.

I don’t believe in astrology in the sense of predicting the future but it seems to have a good knack of showing the personality of the person

I don’t agree with all the negatiy aimed at Bernice. She’s actually the firiend Luann needs. Provers 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Re: Horoscopes. (sometimes they fit).

Ok, after all this time I’ve got to come out and say it… I hate Bernice’s hair.

Astrology Hint: Find yesterday’s predictions. Black out the sign & dates. Cut them apart. Then find which one accurately predicted what actually happened to you yesterday. (Oops, picked the wrong one? Do it again— if they are accurate, you should be able to easily tell which one was yours each and every time.)

Talk, talk. Do something, Luann. Skype Quill again….

The whole purpose of letting the characters age and move on from high school to college was to introduce new cast members and finally to grow as characters. If Quill winds up with Prudence and breaks up with Luann, that might allow Luann to concentrate on something other than her boyfriend, to meet new guys at the community college, and to add to her life experiences. Would that be such a terrible plot development?

Implausable…. I would have to disagree with you to an extent and agree with you to an extent:1) I would disagree that there should not be any new Luann/Bernice “bedroom” scenes. I think they are a valuable and stable aspect of Greg’s efforts. I could very easily see Greg allowing the comics to have the actual scenes you are suggesting (Luann/“Aunt” Bernice in the kid’s room; Luann and Bernice in the nursing home). They could be very funny.Now, what I DO agree with you on is that I do hope Greg will continue to do more with the actual college scene that both Luann and Bernice are part of. I have really enjoyed those glimpses of their college experiences…. and would like to see more.

Two things about astrology:1. Horoscopes appear on the comics page (usually) for a reason.2. Why was Astrology invented? To make economics look like a science.

Implausable: I can agree with you about limiting the “bedroom scenes” between Luann and Bernice to be able to show something new. However, in terms of Bernice “inexplicably leave[ing] college…” I think there are several, very plausible reasons this would be a normal occurrence. 1) Moony U is a close by university (this has already been established), so if Bernice is at college, this would still be doable, and 2) as it is Summer, it is also very possible/likely that Bernice is home for the Summer, which would make her even closer to Luann’s home.

All right simmer down; ten (?) days must be close to being up. and the damage, if any is probably already done, and if not, well then there’s no need to worry is there? Is There? IS THERE?

Luann and Bernice have been meeting in other places – in WW, on campus, in Bernice’s dorm room. The “bedroom scenes” are part touchpoint and part running joke. I think that in this story arc, Luann forcing (OK, asking – or maybe begging) Bernice to meet her at her house is part of the set-up; it’s shows how convinced Luann was that her relationship was in trouble. But I agree with others that the bedroom scenes should be used more sparingly Luann and Bernice become young adults who have options other than going to someone’s house and closing the bedroom door to keep out prying parental and siblings.

So then the only outcome of Quill’s being Luann’s boyfriend in high school is that now they must be together for the rest of their lives, in order not to make their high school romance be a bad investment of time? Thank goodness that’s not a rule in life. It’s not a rule in fiction either, and it would be a shame of Team Evans believes it should be.

In the meantime, Gunther and Tiffany are in one of the coffee shops near campus discussing why study buddies can’t also be friends. No strings attached.

And poor Rosa is up in the mountains collecting bird poop for fertilizer for the village, thinking about Gunther, and wondering if she’ll ever smell human again.
