“Brady syndrome, I like it.” I’m gonna make our footballs look like Boo’s tires. And just between me and you, State Champ Coach, you never would have called a play with me blocking now would you.
That monster hand makes those ones Gil’s (I assume he was buying.) handing out look like Monopoly money. Or maybe it is. Even a State Champion Coach like Gil can’t afford a nice house with a pool on a high school coaches salary.
P2 reminds me of the old joke about the guy complaining about a dream he has. Every night in his dream he comes upon a door with a sign on it and he keeps pulling and pulling on the door, but it won’t open.
A week ago today, Gil was sipping Country Time Lemonade (allegedly) while Mimi patiently waited for the arsenic to kick in. Tru and Gil have spent a week in the Milford Diner, oogling waitresses, talking about stars and parents living vicariously through their offspring. How the hell did True make that block after Boise St. left to Jarrod? Mark my words….whatever Summer plot we have to knock around, will wrap up the 3rd week of September. P2 says this storyline in a word…CLOSED.
Clever of Gil to wait until after the school year to pay off Tru(e) for that last-minute transfer to Milford. Stupid of Tru(e) to not demand more than $300.
Gil’s argument seems to be built around a logical fallacy. Just as not being saved by the defense would not have made Brady any worse, being saved didn’t make him any better.
Interesting fact I read. For last season, Marshawn was actually quite poor at scoring from the 1. During the season he only got it in 1 out of 5 tries. Not a huge sample size though. But speaking of samples, try sampling today’s Mopped Up Thorp. Also, “random hand gestures” up to 10. Total featured big hands this year up to 48.
Ellisburkes: Old punch line: “No, but the face rings a bell.”Amana has a nice Rinse Cycle.Queen had a hit called Bi-cycle and Good Humor was a local favorite for Ice Cream Cycles.
Being a math and statistics guy, I’m all for counting rings. But I could never understand the whole, “if you didn’t win it, then you’re not good” philosophy. Elway was deemed not a good QB because his stats were bad and he lost so many Super Bowls early. He ended up winning his last 2, and he was looked at differently. But either way, he was still 2-3 in the Super Bowl. However, everyone looks at Marino because he had so many records, but he was 0-1 in the big game. Same for Shula. Everyone used to say that he could take you his QB and beat yours, then take yours and beat his….but he only won 2 Super Bowls (2-3 in the big game)…I don’t think anyone looked at Tarkenton, Kelly, or Marino and thought less of them as QBs (of course, they were no Tru(E)).
a qb blocking? thats not cry baby brady. thats BRET FARVE! he drove holmgren nuts running interference downfield and throwing himself at tacklers like a fullback

So is Gil planning on ‘letting the air out’ of the offense this up coming season?

Did someone already predict that Gil is going to end up being invited to “coach” at the camp? If so, I second that emotion.

JPuzzleWhiz: You’re right. It would be Diana Washington’s:“What a Difference a Play Makes”.

Gil tells True to give himself credit at the same time he pays with cash. As usual, he isn’t following his own advice.

The Whiz is correct, but 10 years from now, they won’t be looking at what play could or should have been called. They’ll only look at the rings.
