Until she moved out of her own home a couple of years ago, I guess my ex mother-in-law could have saved the planet.

I quietly tried putting a few “extra” bags in the recycle container. When my other half discovered this, I received a stern chewing out!

I mean, how many of these things does anyone really need?

Actually, I keep a few plastic grocery bags in the car for when I need one. Happens often enough to make it worthwhile, like going to the local market that has a BYOB option (Bring Your Own Bags). 8^)

Everybody collects something. With my dad, it was pipe fittings. He was a steamfitter and collected spare parts left over from various jobs. So whenever anyone on the block had a problem, he had the right part to fix it. Except when it happened in our house. Then he’d have to actually go out and buy the part. Mom never let him forget that.

I’m just trying to collect more gold! Not working as well as I’d like…
