It’s a nice planet, but the dominant bipedal species mostly hunts small game and hasn’t ever embraced agriculture, which is the origin of most technology.They really don’t have any good places to stay, unless you enjoy sleeping in the open and eating raw varmints.

They aren’t vampires.This is the original version of AVATAR.It never made it to the theaters because it was not expensive enough to produce.

A Tail of Two Wikkens

You all are sure those are tails?

I’ve wondered about what it’d be like to have a tail. Would people look to see who has a longer tail? Would there be doctors who specialize in making our tails longer? The fashion industry would need to make clothes that accomodate an opening in the back for our tails. What about people who want to be bobbed? Would they be ostracized? Would striking someone with your tail be considered assault? So many questions.

Here’s one source for the original illustration. “Halb Tier – halb Mensch” means “Half (animal or beast) – half human”. “Geschwänzte Menschen” means “Tailed People”, although “Schwanz” is also slang for something else.
