Well, IMO, Vegas isn’t for kids. But what’s this about bicycles on I-75? Failing brain cells, I’m sure.

I don’t quite get it either, Mikie….I know I-75 is a major North-South highway … maybe they take it to Disney World.

But I don’t think it runs through Illinois… nope. Just checked.

What with the memos and such, I thought maybe poor baby Burl was whining that it was a dangerous drive…

but I wonder whether he’s saying Dale drives like an old man…. so slowly bikes pass him.

His point is that the traffic is so slow when you get close to Orlando that bicycles go faster than the cars.

Re: Today’s list: These guys are considering a seminar about selling timeshares?

Monsters, Inc. might possibly scare Burl? Shoot, warm him up on some old Roger Corman nuggets!!

An outing for Verla at Chuck E. Cheese’s? Aw heck, ANYWHERE there’s food, hits the spot!!

Sorry for the cyclists that make me look bad. I share and obey the laws. Well sometimes if the intersection is totally clear I blow the stop sign. I get annoyed at the ones who block intersections ride on sidewalks. zigzag across the street. and not a single light at night.

I think for the budget conscious, Las Vegas can with careful planning be a reasonable spot for families to take kids. We did this twice…. both times to save money for a trip which we otherwise would not have had (airfare to Vegas is extraordinarily cheap in our region, and the hotel costs in Vegas are shockingly cheap). I am such a penny pincher that I have never had any sort of fun in any form of casino gambling… so we simply used the hotel as our “home” and then ventured out into the actual non-casino areas that were much more kid friendly and had a great time! It did take some work and pre-planning to find kid-friendly and fun things to do and to figure out how to avoid the seamier sides of LV, but we are glad we tried it.

I think John Phillips called it….nothing to do with rude cyclists…Burl is whining about the difficulty of the drive.

Dale says it’s for kids…Burl is complaining about the traffic..ie: could a little kid make this trip?

Well, of course not, Burl… nobody is saying kids go alone.

    But most grown-ups take children.

I have to confess… I’m pretty sure I’ve gone to Disneyland alone or with adults more than with kids.I like it.
