Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

Despite what CARK KENT and SISYPHOS have to say, I would brave the wraiths of Hell to do that, especially during Oprah orThe View. Goodbye cruel world!
^Ooooh. Hereâs an option. Now that the TV doesnât work, donât replace it! Weâve been without one for 16 years, and so far our kids are fairly normal and happy.
And yet, there are video games, dvds, and other ways the kids try to âage up.â My favorite is, âIt doesnât matter if that movie has bad language - we hear it in school all day long.â
Itâs actually pretty unlikely that youâll get a shock from snipping an applianceâs power cord. The scissors blades will short the two wires togetherâyouâre not in the conductive path. Then the fuse will blow.
People who teach children to be âsafe around electricityâ figure this is too complex a topic, so they tend to teach simply âstay away from anything electric.â Broomie, being 1500 years old and well acquainted with zaps, knows better.
youâre probably right, but why take chances⊠there are some ways of doing it where you are part of the circuit⊠and the flash of vaporizing metal could be unpleasant, or worseâŠ
@William Pursell, good answer: âYouâve never been in Broomieâs forest before.â That forest definitely does not follow the natural laws we are used to. Electricity seems to be available in all sorts of places, not just a tree stump.
Jascat, thatâs not a âcommentâ, itâs a correction against future comments of the like, and in the manner in which it was done. Yeah, I really want to read spam and then stupid comments about the spammers every day here. MANY people have told yâall not to comment on the spammers. Get off my back!
Since when did Broomie give a ratâs about whatâs appropriate for kids and what isnât? I remember when she went back to school â first grade â and had to stand in the corner for telling the kids a poem about someone from Nantucket.

Gweedo we do not comment on the you-know-what, especially in obnoxiously loud letters. You make their day when you do that, so donât do that.
Broomie, now you gotta call an electrician or go buy a whole new TV. What if someone snipped your plug. Oh ⊠well, never mind.

Broomie must either be immortal⊠a high possibility. Or she is about to get a very hard shock.
