How can they afford boarding school when Larry can’t even cut it as a kids’ party clown?

Junior has a half-brother? In the mean time, poor Larry having empty-nest syndrome.

My son and wife moved out of state for employment reasons. Though I am happy for them both, a large empty hole is in my heart.

Are those crocodile tears?

Yea! The crocs are back!

Junior is away? Oh dear. They’re both going to be so lonely. Larry will have no one in the house to respect him, and Patty will have no one on her intellectual level to talk with.

I thought Patty was the Queen of Denial. That should bring in a nice annuity check.

Next week our youngest heads off to college, so our house, too, will be empty. Will have to see who’s staring out the window…

Aww. Who would have thought that Larry Croc was capable of heartache for his away-son?! Maybe he has a heart after all!

Be careful what you wish for is the moral of today’s strip…

isn’t this pastis? and maybe i don’t get it, however if you ever read arlo and janis there is a somewhat similar strip when they are discussing gene going off to school. janis wonders if she will cry when he is gone and arlo says to janis “do you think we will make ‘noisy’ love?”soooooo – the kid is gone, larry’s ‘empty nest’ expectations are not met because patty is off with the ‘girls’. again isn’t this pastis?? and isn’t this larry?? the one that represents all the ‘base’ drive/emotions?

Maybe that baby with Pastis’ head was a nightmare.

the kid probably has a scholarship based on need. he’s probably ecstatic to get away from dad, although i’m sure he’ll miss mom

There’s a great country song titled “It’ll come back” about a father and his daughter. She tore up the lawn constantly, and when she was gone, he realized how much he missed her.

Wouldn’t it be great if Zebra’s niece Joy was also a student there?

I’ve got a wonderful 7 year old son. I think I’ll go hug him.

My folks moved five times while I was growing up; fortunately for me I found them each time.

Apparently Larry’s parents have more hope for Junior and gave him Larry’s trust fund.
