I’m with Jeri; couldn’t stand beets, as a kid.

They’re not as ‘awful’ now as they’d seemed to me, then .. but I still wouldn’t call myself fond of ’em.

Loved pickled beets. Cabbage not so much.

Try out thejr Eastern Orthodox… you’ll love the hats!

Just because a plant is EDIBLE doesn’t mean you should. I include beets and lima beans in that classification.

I love cabbage soup… Unfortunately, people around here are not as impressed.

I’ve always loved vegetables. My mother was a really good cook and she made everything taste good. I learned a lot of her recipes, and when she lived with us she even said that I’ve become a better cook than she was. Our kids loved vegetables too, and their kids do as well…

So cabbage soup: what kind— the sweet cabbage or sauerkraut…what about the beets: cooked, roasted or pickled…so many possiblilities… all taste good if done just right….
