We have friends who do photography on the side. They did our older daughter’s senior yearbook photos last year. The pics came out fantastic. It’s different when the photographer actually cares about their customer…and vice versa. (We’ll be going to them again when our younger daughter is a senior.)
I remember when my mother showed my sister and me her high school pix. She also looked 40. It’s the old fashioned hairdos. I guess kids today would think mine looked old too. All the girls wore their hair long and parted down the middle. Feathering the bangs was just coming into style.
I can’t remember what the pictures looked like in my high school yearbooks any more. My late wife would get jealous of the girls I knew in school if i looked at the photos so she threw them away.
I scanned a few photos, mostly group shots like from band and some clubs, re-read what friends had written, then tossed the book. Not that I didn’t want to relive that time – it was fine – but that was then and this is now. BTW, if you join Classmates.com, you actually can buy reprints of old HS annuals.
