I had to walk out of a performance of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” once because the perfume on the person next to me was making me ill. And then I could not re-enter until intermission, so I missed half of the play. All I could do was linger outside and listen.
Why even bother going out to a movie if you don’t plan on watching it?
I was watching the Super Bowl last year. The camera was panning along the stands showing the fans, and a number of them were staring at their stupidphones instead of watching the game. These are people who paid thousands of dollars for a ticket to what they consider the biggest event of the year, plus additional money for travel, food and hotels. What a complete and total waste.

Very few TALK on their phones anymore. Texting, etc is another thing.
