I actually remember that storm. Which makes me roughly the age of Teena’s parents. Of course, these strips are quite old…

I remember that one, I was 11 living in New Hampshire… we were out of school for two weeks. There was too much snow to even enjoy playing outside.

Shouldn’t they have their power back by now?!

I have only ever heard it referred to as “The Blizzard of ’78.” It was all about the snow….I remember going outside to play with my brother, and realizing we were walking on top of Dad’s car…..

Thank God for the beer! I love it!

If Jeri will do the math and subtract her age from the current date, she’ll know just how great that party was. Wait! I just said if Jeri did math. Never mind. (That actually kind of works from the copyright date.)

I was working the night shift when that one came in, we did a double shift, they ran out of stuff to work with, so we walked to the nearest bar where we spent 3 days watching a blizzard whilst drinking beer. Worse hangover of my life!

Meanwhile, over in Northern Illinois, Mom’s hospital sent a 4-wheel drive to get her and a suitcase so she wouldn’t have to drive back and forth.
