It’s perfectly acceptable to sit there until someone who needs the table comes in and needs it. Jim is perfectly capable of sitting at a regular table, as he is not in a wheelchair. Jim needs to calm down.
actually what sheila said is correct the tag on on the table at several of our coffee shops states that ot is okay for a non handicap person to use the table so long as you make it available for a handicap person when they arrive. By the way Jim is not the type of person I would encourage to come into my business. I would point other coffee shops out to him with clear directions. I would also warn the other coffee shop to be fair.
