    He probably lied to his wife about the timing of installing running water, as for HIM, it’s not a priority. While he’s out fishing, she’s hand scrubbing laundry with water she had to bring up to the cabin from the source and boil so that she could do that chore to begin with…

    and he wonders why she’s always exhausted and why she left…
