While it is too soon to tell if there are any permanent scars on his psyche, we will hope that he is unscathed. It would take a man of great fortitude and perseverance to withstand such an ordeal. If anyone can, it is likely Joel who could do so.We also can confirm that Joel has had his beloved pipe returned to him. Whether it was damaged or harmed, we cannot confirm at this point. However, the pipe does indeed appear functional. We shall await further word from Joel about its condition after he replenishes his soul with a few bowls of burley leaf. Reports about this reporter working behind the scenes to help in the release of the prisoner, Joel, cannot be confirmed, nor can they be denied at this time. We must simply be thankful for the release of the honorable Joel, from the penitentiary. A note of caution still is present, however, as our hero is still within the prison boundaries.
