As I said yesterday, quite adept! At some point, Calvin my boy, it should dawn on you that women are consistently getting the better of you, particularly as regards water balloons. Live & LEARN, son. LEARN.

She’s got it, she’s got it. She’s really, really got it!

But Rosalyn must throw in slow motion. Isn’t that the rule?

calvin is unaware of his own genius…..

But this is against- oh wait, there are no rules.

The first (and only) time that Calvin himself was anywhere NEAR “wisdom”……By the way, my own personal theory is: “Women ain’t so bad, but wives can be a real pain!”

I hope Rosalyn gets a very large balloon…

And Calvin can make a rule that she can throw it as high as she wants, but it’s not allowed to come back down. Otherwise its a frombit and the appropriate penalty will be applied.

This comic arc could be a metaphor for the eternal battle between man and woman.Calvin is discovering that in the battle of wits with woman, Man will somehow come up short the Majority of the time!

Reminds of the guy who invented the “forty water balloons at one fill” gadget just in time for the worst drought in 50 years.

Look up Calvinball on wikipedia. It’s fascinatiing.

I’m not sure how long Rosayln has been babysitting Calvin but it takes one to know one.xxx

I think this arc is one of my favorites Waterson ever wrote – and that’s saying something considering how much I love C&H!

This has always been my favorite story arc.
