Well, we don’t want to squash his enthusiasm! I’d like to see his levitating gourd! Fly, Great Pumpkin; I mean it, sincerely!

Linus, you said it once before. The Great Pumpkin must judge the pumpkin patch to be the most sincere, you can’t judge it for him. Oh the hypocrisy.

Linus exudes Charlie Brown-esque optimism when it comes to the Great Pumpkin.

Linus biggest problem is that he got the legend Wrong. It’s the Great Cranberry rising out of the Most Sincere Cranberry Bog..

Run back home and don your WWI Flying Ace goggles and scarf, Snoopy! Then rise up from the pumpkin patch and drive Linus into a frenzy!

    It makes great TV! Guaranteed!

The point is not that believing in anything is stupid, but that when you do, nobody listens to you.

    I wouldn’t be so sure of that…

Ah, yes… To the believer, non-belief is foolish; to the non-believer, belief is foolish. But this is a comic strip. This is mostly about the Linus and the Great Pumpkin. “The Great Pumpkin” is part of the humor. Let it be.
