Just so we all know, sensitivity does not mean finding a euphemism for everything. It doesn’t mean not critiquing things that need improvement, either. Mostly it just means not being an obnoxious jerk.

If he has to move a little to become more of an obstacle, well, he’s willing to make that sacrifice. Otherwise, inert.

I think we’ll challenge his motivation by dangling a doughnut just out of reach.

I like “occupationally inert.” It’s easier than saying, “I have something in common with the CEO: neither one of us is going any farther with the company.”

Cliff didn’t invent laziness, he just perfected it.

I prefer motivationally un-challenged. Need a large stick to get him off his butt. However Pam is correct lazy does just about cover it and pretty efficiently too.
