I don’t ‘wrap up’ the season for grilling. I do it all year long. I have even grilled when it was snowing. If you know how, you can do it. It just takes a bit more heat in colder climates. The only time I don’t grill is when it is very windy and rainy at the same time.
Fleas here in Georgia. And have spent 100s to rid. Three dogs, one cat, lake, heat and rain, 3 story house. No luck yet. Now trying new mattress and salt. Will do ANYTHING! Oh well going to Alaska for the winter. Love snow. No fleas.
Y’all left out the obvious: Arlo’s starting to feel his age. I loved the summer heat much more when I was in my youth than I do now I’m retired. The same goes for the extreme cold of winter.
Yep. DE kills all sorts of Bugs. Not Poison, BTW, for those unfamiliar with it.It’s commonly used in Swimming Pool filters and has a texture that feels a bit like Talc.It messes up the bugs Breathing when they crawl through it..You can scatter it around on your floors for a couple days and vacuum it up after it’s killed off most of the bugs.

Not in this area; it’s been a great summer here.

Climate is always changing. It warms, it cools. It is nature, and you know what a fickle bitch she can be….

I’ve never quite grasped the thrill of cooking outside where it’s hot, and then fighting off the bugs to eat.

Fall is the best time for cookouts. The evening frost kills the bugs.

We don’t grill anymore. Too many flies and other pesky bugs.

It’s not the event that counts (well, it is) but the time rate of change of the event.

we solved the heat problem: install an expensive AC unit… BAM, the hottest day since it was installed? 75 degrees F.

ARLOSDAD, I’ve heard yellow jackets are very fashionable this year….

What Arlo says doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Where are the grammar police when you need them?
