Boo! With no leaves or stem, the ghost orchid is simply a system of roots when it is not flowering! Yeti crabs grow their own food by cultivating bacteria on their hairy arms. Can you dig it? Due to severe overcrowding, the dead are exhumed from Hong Kong's public cemeteries after being underground for six years.

So where do the dead HKers of the previous six years go once exhumed?

@Templo—-You probably don’t want to know, after hearing what they put in pet food & other items the Chinese send to the US.

I’d like Graziano to provide a source for that Hong Kong factoid. I’ve been to private and temple columbariums where my grandparents’ ashes are stored. The vast majority of the dead are cremated, and there are a few gravestones for those wealthy enough to buy one but I doubt they contain corpses.I found http://www.fehd.gov.hk/english/cc/introduction.html

@Saccharine I notice the info on cemeteries, etc, is on the Food & … Hygiene page. Not suggesting anything, just noting the info.

What it really is in Hong Kong is like that old joke that if you do not pay the undertaker for your Mom’s burial or plot maintenance, up she comes!

The Brits used to move the bones from London cemetaries to mass graves in the country side. I wonder if they still do.
