It’s not a private talk anymore.

BN is growing old after all!

Well, judging by the two little hearts – one over each character’s head – the attraction is very mutual. Good. Unrequited love (like the one he held for Jenny) is not his style.

May I offer some predictions?

1. Nate is going to suffer fewer detentions by Mrs. Godfrey. A detention means that he doesn’t get to walk Trudy home.

2. Or not. If I know teachers, parents and other adults with disciplinary powers, cramping one’s social life is an effective tool to keeping the young’uns in line.

3. I’m very curious how Nate’s nemesis, Gina, will react to this new development in his life. If I know the types of Gina, she’s going to do whatever she can to tear asunder this relationship.

4. Or maybe she might change her tune and get a boyfriend of her own. Maybe she’ll be nicer. Or not.

5. Jenny will be a mixture of relieved and perplexed. Or maybe, just maybe a little bit jealous. Artur, I’m sure, will be very happy for Nate.

6. The grade 6 student and grade 7 body is going to be abuzz with gossip. What, a grade 6 boy and a grade 7 girl, together?

No matter what happens, I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun to read.

This is gonna be a GREAT adventure for us on what’s happening! I’m pretty sure they will eventually break up, but that won’t happen in like a year or two if it ever does.

i kind of wish it is like garfield’s jon and liz, that it will be a long term love relationship between nate and trudy. nate certainly deserves some good luck!

She’s a new transfer to the school. My guess is that her dad is in the military and will get transferred out in a year or two. But Nate has a GF until then, interesting to read what happens then…..

Is it true? Is Trudy doing this to win a bet?

This should be interesting when Gina and Artur hear about this.

Btw. actually funny the dual meaning you can get in the third panel. The actual, them thinking they are the only there, but also they only got eyes for each other.

I hope this lasts – it’ll be nice seeing Nate happy for a change.

Lincoln, you did it right. Nate is both funny and clever but it gets a little tedious at times when all his endeavours end in failure. Please keep this little love for a long time, it balances the strip.

What is amazing to me are the number of commenters that enjoy the strip and don’t support GoComics and the artists. Geeze, it is only less than $12 a year!

I really hope they don’t break up soon, but they might eventually. It just will be a LONG time from now. I’ve been waiting ever since Nate broke up with Kelly.
