Except Grandpa had more sense than you, Irving.

Grandpa would probably have his glasses on and his paperwork ready for such things before calling… get with it Irving.

He probably typed it into the online reservation system 15 bazillion times after timing out 16 bazillion times.

This is the best yet. Seeing Irving rattled sooths my soul. He thinks he is such a electonic geek. What happened. LOL

When you are working with menu choices on the telephone, very often, even tho they won’t tell you this, you can get a real live human being by just pressing zero. It’s worth trying.
In the remaining (rare) cases, you get the following message:
“That choice is not valid for this menu.” Then you feel like a fool. Cut off at the pass!

They can’t afford to leave the house, where are they going to go?

Or that distorted code number they give you to copy – hard to read even with glasses. Why do they need to distort it – anybody know?

Zero now seldom works on those “voice systems” you have to figure out whether they want “representative” “agent” or whatever word they chose to use… or just follow the menu until they give a clue to that- I may just start shouting any mix of the above as I am easily annoyed ;-)

lintz- supposedly the distortion prevents automated (robot) spammers from using the system because no live person is typing. I hit keys if I can’t read the first one to get another.
