I have used a paper clip to get my gas stove’s burners working again, but I have never used a hobby knife to fix it. I wonder what Walt is going to do with it.
Round burner holes and gas orifices are cleaned with a paperclip. rectangular and oval holes, flat surfaces, and the igniter electrode are cleaned with the hobby knife.

First Dick Tracy and now Gasoline Alley?
What’s the deal with the whole B&W thing?

I can remember one other time they ran one day’s strips in black and white. Probably some temporary situation.

As for Uncle Walt, it does look like he’s going to fix it!

I hope this doesn’t end up like Broom Hilda. She went black and white a few years ago, and never went back to color.

This is one way to get rid of the old characters, rather than have them die off one-by-one.Tomorrow’s strip will just be one big “BOOM !”

Although long retired, Walt was the town’s leading auto mechanic. He probably remembers something Skeezix forgot.
