I just saw Jeff today. He looked fine to me. I am guessing that this is a ploy to get Walt to visit the Old Comics Home for some sort of special celebration. Halloween IS coming up. Time for everyone to consider dressing up as their favorite cartoon character!
Hmm. I really do not think Joel would intentionally adulterate his special formula for the jug, Gweedo! But, I don’t really know for sure what IS up. This week’s arc has been quite odd. His and my pipe tobacco was pure, brown burley leaf as well. So, he and I are both flummoxed. I really think it will be best for me (and Joel) to take a bit of time this afternoon to sample a few fingers of either my scotch, or his jug, or both…. and indulge in several pipes while we try to sort out all of this ambiguity and perplexity. I really do not know much else to do to try to figure this one out.
However Walt’s swan song eventually plays out, the revisiting of some of his one time fellow comic strip legends at this time is a most welcome story arc.

It’s a setup. I suspect Jeff will appear as a ghost at the party!

The “climax” to this story line could end with a surprise on Halloween.

Very true, accidents CAN happen. I am not sure if either I or Joel would recognize a funny (fun?) Mushroom if we saw one. :)
