âWeeklongâ not weekend⊠but makes little difference. Irving would still need every gadget and Cathy wouldnât know which clothes/shoes sheâd actually need.

I have a wonderful wife. She doesnât obsess over clothes and shoes, yet, she manages to dress well and appropriately for every occasion. I guess Iâm about the luckiest guy around.

I always planned ahead and selected separates that combined well (especially if the events were scheduled, or a business trip with just my own choice of evenings out). If it is a family trip itâs more difficult, as I donât know what will be decided. Now that I have experienced MORE lost and damaged luggage, Iâd rather just ship it ahead (as I often did with my folding birdcage).
