Evergreens can die if they get too hot. I’m struggling with the changing horizon.
@prairiedogdance (I like the name!) I think the horizon changed because the perspective is as if a camera took the shot from a bit higher. If you look, the car looks lower in the last frame.
I’m glad someone put this in perspective…
I wonder if Horace gets needled a lot about that tree.
I was trying to ‘get something’ about the umbrellas and I could not figure it out. Never noticed the tree until I read your comment.
OK, this one didn’t exactly get off the ground. Oh, and the horizon is fixed now :B
So lost. And what is the deal with the water in the last panel? All the little dits in it?

There’s a clue in the last panel, no one noticed. The marks around the ‘o’ in Sams*o*n’s name, perhaps? Geez ppl…
And note the sun’s glare on the car in the last panel.
When the horse walks to the beach the birds all flew off. That’s what the dots are.
and Paul is barefoot and walking out of sync. That means he is the corpse.
