It was hard to introduce a new character into the strip. I had to make a number of sketches: front, side, three quarters. I drew the character laughing, frowning, shouting, and calm — all in an attempt to keep him or her consistent whenever they were in a scene. I didn’t always succeed. “Greg” changed from time to time, and readers would quickly tell me when I made errors.
Exactly how are Lawrence’s parents bad people? For years Lawrence ate food they bought, lived under a roof of a house they paid for, wore clothes they bought, made use of electricity and other utilities they subscribed to. Connie and Greg working hard to give all that to Lawrence seems a lot like love and devotion.
I read the strip on her site, most of the time…but sometimes I end up on this site by accident… at least Lynn isn’t spoiling it for her readers. She is always letting people know who, what, when, where or how the idea came about.
Can we focus on the current story without yapping about the great big parenting mistake Greg is going to make several years in the future. We will get to that eventually.

Greg’s going to be quite negatively emotional about his stepson Lawrence’s secret years later.

Why must it be in bold?? Atewl wrote it first, and anyone with eyes can read it without it being bolded.
