I’d read or recite Mother Goose and my DIL would ask me what on earth I was saying. Old Mother Hubbard is really not that bad and Sugar and Spice has been proven with our 4 grandchildren. Not sure that those girls are really true to the poem but the boys are.

I learned it as “snips and snails”, no frogs.

Hee-hee… those were the days ;)
