Mine is a lap-cat as soon as the weather turns cold. In the summer she will jump up for a pet, but won’t lie in my lap.

Not a lap dog but after a middle of the night pee, I find her in my vacant “warm bed” spot.

Just had to put my Sadie (kitty of 17 years) down because of kidney failure. I truly miss her. I couldn’t sit/lay down that she wouldn’t jump up for nap in my lap. If I didn’t move she would lay there for hours. She was the sweetest kitty, not a mean bone in her body.

Cue the cat haters who say, “You’re just a living electric blanket to them.”

I wish so many of you would like Janis half as much as you do Ludwig. She adores Arlo – just because she doesn’t fawn over him all the time means nothing. You see only comic snippets, not the deep love of years. Sorry if I sound preachy, it just sometimes seems that this strip collects misogynists.

As our vet said, “As long as they are eating and aren’t in pain, they have a quality of life.” She would never charge for euthanasia if the owner had taken proper care.

My cat jumps up on the sofa, stands next to my leg and then sort of keels over onto my lap. Paws up and furry belly demanding a rub.
