Red should at least smear bacon grease over Martin’s face. Make it worthwhile for Rover.

Red & Rover strip back in 2000, illustration was charming as the current version. Illustration technique changed considerably. Much like change of the original Pogo from thin lines to a brush line style, a alsos happened with Disney characters in 1940 compared to the last comic book published in the 60s. Just wonderful Brian.

Gordon LongThe change in Pogo was due to the shrinking of newspaper comic size, which first destroyed the parallel story line at the bottom, the difficulty in printing thin lines made thinner, and ultimately the detailed strip itself by the Kelly family after Walt’s death.
