Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Whereâs Dr. Mel and his kill-bots when you need him? Since poor Billy has been seven years old for nearly 50 years now, itâs the kindest thing you can do.
Of course, if I were a real stickler, and willing to admit I actually read âFamily Circusâ for several years, Iâd note that Tim got the punch line a bit offâin âFamily Circus,â whenever somebody asked âWho did this?â the kids answered âIda Know,â and a little ghostly character was seen committing the offense⌠Aieee! And I have brain cells dedicated to this informationâŚ
Joshâso thatâs what happened at ArcaMax? I donât usually read the comments over there, but a couple weeks ago noticed the âCommentâ buttons (which are still on the site!) donât work. Thought it was because of my pop-up blocker or somethingâŚ
Really? âIda Know?â Well, it looks like I goofed. I always thought it was âNot Me.â Just proves what Iâve always thought: I donât spend enough time reading âFamily Circus.â
Thanks, puddleglum 1066.
Tim Rickard - creator, Brewster Rockit.
dr.mel: You did âget it rightâ. There is âNotMeâ (a Boy âghostâ) and there is âIdaKnowâ ( a girl âghostâ) who cause trouble ay Family Circus. So you didnât âGOOFâ.
While I donât read Family Circus anymore I do appreciate it for the fact that it was one of the 1st comics I read in the newspaper. This continues today, although Iâve moved on to Pooch Cafe, Doonesbury, Lio and Brewster.
There is a need for a spectrum of comics in the newspaper so that people of all ages and comic sensibilities can enjoy this great medium.
(plus, I always liked the large Saturday comics where they do the dotted line path of the kids).
@Puddleglum: itâs true, Puddleglum. Iâve been reading them there at ArcaMax since 2009 and leaving my own funny (and decent) comments about the strip. Unfortunetly, others have been leaving (as I said previously) explicid, profane, and racist remarks (when thereâs african-american children present in the strip) about this 50-year old, clean cut strip! No doubt ArcaMax had enough of it and decided to close all postings to every strip on that site including ones here at GoComics. A dissapointment.
I want to see the gang from âPearls Before Swineâ show up; they havenât crossed over with Brewster yet, and being âmetaâ they might have some ideas about stopping the ink spill.
Iâd love to see what the old Dysfunctional Family Circus (http://dfc.furr.org/) would have done with this. The one thing Iâm sure of is, it wouldnât be G rated!
Claire: What do you have against the Family Circus?
Todd: Okay, you sit down to read your paper, and youâre enjoying your entire two-page comic spread, right? And then thereâs the Family [f-ing] Circus, bottom right hand corner, just waiting to suck. And itâs the last thing you read, so it spoils everything you read before it.
Claire: You could just not read it.
Todd: I hate it, yet Iâm uncontrollably drawn to it.
i grew up with family circus and sometimes even- gasp - agree with mallard fillmore

What a nightmare! If the Family Circus kids are invading now, wait until The Fusco Brothers show up.

(Sigh) Too bad I canât comment about them on Acramax Comics anymore, thanks to others making explicit commets about them, Arcamax.Com removed it.

Yawn, I had this dream where Family Circus invaded GoComics. Strange dream, everybody was commenting.
