Good Morning Ballardeers! 132,000 days of this pan – fried dementia.
I’ll have the window open this morning for about 3 more hours depending on temperature increase. 64F at 0655 CDT. Nice, Probably sit out if I can find a shady spot. I don’t want to get greased up for a few minutes air.
Wasn’t really getting today’s poster until I saw the original thanks to Tigressy. The running wrinkle face of the basset had me confuzzled. I think it’s hilarious, but the movie would probably scar me for life.
Y’all be careful out there. You never know when you’ll be in front of a loosed lipped happy dog. (((((HUGS)))))
I’m reading The Golden Thread – How Fabric Changed History by Kassia St Clair. In the chapter on lace she mentions King Henry III of France showing up at the Estates-General wearing 4,000 yards (!) of lace.
Back to yesterday’s comments about libraries – mine is open for pick up of reserved materials only. Masks are required. Barriers erected so that you can come in and go to the circulation desk on one side, then out the other. Plexiglass barriers at the desk and cards are swiped in front of a reader pointing out from the barrier, so that staff can see on their monitor who you are and what you’ve reserved, which they then go fetch. Other barriers prevent access to staff room, the stacks in the adult part, the teen room, and the youth department.
All returns to the drop boxes accessible only from outside. From there they are quarantined in the meeting room for 3 days before being processed as returns. (They have instituted automatic renewals so that you aren’t fined for those 3 days.)
They have started taking pictures of new books and posting on line, which has increased circulation of those books.
As soon as I saw today’s poster in black and white, I knew it’d be for a scary movie! Then when you see how Stel drew in the scariest basset in the universe, well, you’ll only see Susan and me behind the ScaredyCat Row.

That poster is scary enough by itself that SusanSunshine and Montana Lady should only view it from behind a couch!
