Under the T’s, huh? When I was closing my mum’s account, the bank couldn’t find her file. They finally found it – along with a zillion others – under “E” for “Estate”.
For Verla, they just need to pick up a publisher’s dummy. (That’s a boo with a titled cover but blank pages; also means any author, but here I mean the dummy book.) It’s not like Verla’s going to read anything more intellectual than “Close Cover Before Striking.”

It would also be a big help if they knew the alphabet.
If Burl stops to browse, he can never remember what letter comes next without singing that little song… usually aloud.

It won’t help, Susan. Burl would look for Dr. Seuss books under D (for Doctor).

I worked for a company that did book covers, and sadly, some of the clerks saw nothing wrong with filing by “the” or “A”.
