My wife’s grocery store used to carry brand name soft drinks at a very cheap price before summer holidays – the prices were supported by the wholesaler and they had limits on how many they would cover at the cheap price. People – even businesses – would come in and try to buy 25 or 50 cases at the cheap price. If the store had agreed to that they’d have had to tell dozens of others later ‘sorry we are all out’. Screw the greedy people, limit the deal to a reasonable amount.
When HEB has corn for 10 cents an ear they limit you to 10 or 20 ears. They have to have some for as many customers as possible.
Burl should be made to purchase every orange that hits the floor or banned! Burl and Dale could simply bought 10 ears a piece. If Burl wanted some Joy could have come back and bought some.

I always wondered at stores setting limits. The concept of sales is to get rid of the product, especially at full price.

Last visit to Butera here in Illinois there were a half dozen apples on the floor… looked around after picking them up but did not see Burl….!
