Consider that if you don’t say “Thank you,” they may never send you another photo…
Then decide according to the desired outcome.
For instance, if the Pennys sent me a family photo, I wouldn’t thank them…
hoping that would reduce my chances of ever getting another one.
Unfortunately, they’re pretty thick skinned.
I mean, say you accidentally pick up the phone when one of them calls…
Like, maybe you hear, “Hi, It’s Joy!”
You can reply with “Sorry, Joy, we’re not home,”
But she’ll just say “Oh, OK, I’ll call you tomorrow.”
Probably no amount of not thanking them will stop the unwelcome flow of photos.

Meanwhile, I will say it’s small… and not really much of a ski.
Julie, a straight line doesn’t qualify as a ski. It needs definition.
wonder if the Pennys own a shredder…? Burl will be busy for hours until he runs out of paper stock…!

When The Penny’s send a photo with their Christmas card, the recipient might stick it to the window as a decoration next Halloween.

I think the ski is one of the two toboggans, or cane shapes. There is one drawn in the Bowl atop the TV. The other in the curtain.
