Just what exactly is “stomach flu?” I never really accepted that as a medical diagnosis. Diarrhea? It’s not influenza, although it can be a symptom. I think most cases of what people call “stomach flu” comes from dirty dishes or silverware.

There is no “stomach flu”. The flu is primarily a respiratory illness. The lay term stomach flu is often mistakenly used for symptoms of contaminated food, not a.virus.
