Obviously Crustwood is not in Canada, thank god.. If it were, the sign would have had check written as ‘cheque’.

If you want to hide any unpleasant fine print, hide it in cursive. A prettier way to hide bad news.

One time, I got double billed for a furniture purchase. The store called me to warn me. I said “Don’t worry, it won’t go through, I don’t have an extra tthree grand in my account!” She said “Oh it went through!” I called my bank, and they told me I was overdrawn by over a thousand dollars, and my overdraft account was maxed out. I told them it was an error, and they said the company would have to issue a refund, I was like “So anyone I make a charge with can just double bill me?” So aside from being overdrawn, several checks I had outstanding were returned. The store had to reimburse me for all the fees. Long story less long, the next time I tried to write a check at the grocery store, they would not accept it. Apparently, the clearing house that they use was the same as one that I had had a check returned to. I was never able to write a check at that store again!
