I had a boss who had his ditzy wife call the local drive in theater to find out what three movies were being shown that night. From his end, here is what he heard her say: “What are the movies for tonight?… and?… and?”. She hangs up and says to her husband, “The three movies are ’Nobody’s Here Yet’, ’I’m Just the Janitor’, and ‘Call Back Later’”.

….it’s not a stretch to picture Burl ’n Joy out at the drive-in on Sunday ’round 2 pm, patting themselves on the back because they, GEE!, have the WHOLE place to themselves, waiting for the film to start any minute now.

I understand Ma’s ignorance of drive-ins. It’s a sure bet no one ever invited her to one. So, which tires are you going for, Burl? Blown out or slashed?

Around here, Sunday afternoon at the drive-in means swap meet/flea market.
