My favorite coffee is from a local truck stop. I can’t stand Starbucks… their coffee is overpriced and bitter. I suppose their fancy concoctions taste fantastic to some, but I want plain coffee, not something that drowns out coffee flavor with who-knows-what, and turns zero calorie coffee into 400+ calories.
I have coffee out with friends on 2 days of the week … different people, of course, to get a wider view of the world. The Tuesday morning group is small: me, a former bank manager and a former teacher. Wednesday’s group is much larger: my oldest buddy, the former teacher again, 2 former home insurance salesmen, a former zoo keeper and a second former teacher. Women are not allowed .. nor would they be even slightly interested.
the coolest book store/coffee shop ever was in Rochester, Minnesota…it was an old beautiful theater, and the ceiling was painted like a starry night sky. Not sure if it’s still there, but it was one of the most relaxing places ever…(and the real coffee was fantastic, to boot!)
