I adore fruitcake. Back in my twenties, when I had the metabolism to handle it, I once ate a four pound cake between Thursday night, when I brought it home from the store, to Monday evening, when I polished off the last of the crumbs. Had it plain, had it spread with cream cheese, had it toasted with butter, had it…well, you get the picture.
i’m fraid me and sam can both say that – there is one fruitcake that comes from one of the monasteries that is ambrosia – but cost and shipping – if they have any is very very expensive – but oohhhhhhh so good!
A late lady friend of my half-brother and his late partner made this delicious fruitcake :-) It was made by mixing different pieces of fruit and baking in the microwave for a couple of minutes :-) Simple and tasty :-)

Slice it about 1/2 inch thick, butter it, and fry on medium/low.If you can get a little browning on it, its perfect.
