Winter just showed up here……For some reason I didn’t miss it this year……..

I can predict the stock market for tomorrow. It starts out rather vague and nebulous, but by noon, I can get fairly accurate, and by 4 pm, I have it nailed. Psychic abilities.

We used to just watch the home barometer or the sky.

It’s interesting how Mr. Johnson has changed Janis’s shape as she “ages.” She no longer has the body of someone in her 20s.

His drawing skills are considerable. I could never do what he does.

Does the weather control our lives or do those little gizmos?

as a friend of mine used to say…..“weather just has not been the same since Harold died”. If you are from DFW area you will know who I mean.

We had a weather man on local TV for many many years and he never gave a forecast before he stepped outside and checked the weather for himself. He passed away many years ago and weather forecasting just has not been the same.

Not like the time I sat looking at a foot of snow two hours after it stopped falling, while the forecast for the day still said there wouldn’t be any.

The best forecast of snow in Wisconsin is when our plow trucks lay down their cheese brine before a storm, then I know a storm is coming. Hey, it’s Wisconsin!

At least the cheese brine isn’t radioactive, like the fracking waste water in West Virginia.

14 months on a DEW Line site on the Arctic Circle was nothing compared to living on the ‘Tug Hill Effect’ and it’s “out of the blue” snowstorms. “Keep yer transfer case lubed”..“Got some Ginger Brandy?” and “How’s Erin doin’ on her Luge thing, Ronnie?” waz the local conversation around AJ’s service station back in the day.. Mukluks and flip-flops on the same day..

Weather forecasters and baseball players get paid far too much for being right 30% of the time.

Oh, oh Janis is in her skivvies. Then she has a robe on and i’ll bet no skivvies… I’ll predict a lot of snuggling on this cold and snowy night.

Judging from the width of the side straps on Janis’ bra I would say that she needs something more structurally adequate than a normal bra to hold those puppies up.

JeanI heard Harold was on Stagg’s staff during the Operation Overlord forecasts. Nothing says accuracy like that one, and with few of the modern tools. I know he was most helpful advising me on adopting wind chill and heat equivalent charts to my role-playing game rules.

Based on past strips, Arlo is probably thinking it’s going to be just as frigid indoors, if not more so, than outdoors, the 9:00 panel notwithstanding.
