Slurping up threaded needles – oh my! Yes, my pins and needles were always numbered and accounted for. My little Tasha (who looked just like Tabitha, upstairs) loved to pounce my tissue pattern pieces. She’d always start with sneaking under the edges, and then attack from underneath. I miss her “help.”

I have to sew in a room with the door firmly closed. Nippy will try to “hunt” the moving needle and thread, and then he gets aggressive when I won’t let him catch it. It’s easier for all of us just to keep it out of his sight.

Can a blanket shed!?

Ah yes, I well know slurped up threaded needles. My Mozart always liked to help me x-stitch and one day managed to swallow a needle. Nothing damaged apart from my bank account and a little kitty pride – it was a rather embarrassing shave job :-)

My Bagheera slurped up a needle. $600 worth of surgery for the needle and another $300 for the hernia he got fighting off the pills after the surgery. He’s doing fine, but his nickname was Frankenkitty Zipperboy for a while….
