Now Tracy knows about as much as we do.

Tracy looks to have reverse-aged today. Doesn’t even have grey on his temples.

Spicy will have a slap on the forehead moment when The Apparatus and/or their representatives catch up with them in Cuba.

So Specs was already with The Apparatus even before he got the glasses. Probably the same case for Spicy. In that case, she knows The Apparuts and yet she left them a calling card. Bright girl….

Today we have “jugmarker” spelled right, twice, as opposed to in the January 12 strip where it was misspelled as “jugmaker” twice.

On the other hand, Specs real name, which appeared as “Esterar” and “Esparar” on January 17, now appears as “Esperar,” so we now have three possible spellings. I think that the second one is the most likely to be a real name, but the third one is a common word, meaning “to wait” or “to hope” or “to expect” (as in “count on” — “We expect you to arrive in Cuba tomorrow.”).

It’s amusing to remember that Chief Patton and Dick Tracy are about the same age, having been partners until after World War Two. Pat visibly aged about twenty years when he got the promotion, which is probably why Tracy has been content to stay at his current level for decades.

Tracy has noted there’ve been 2 robberies . . .One a Bank ($4 Billion Cash stolen) . . . the 2nd a (Thorndike / residential safe looted) Loss unspecifiedAnd also a “loss” by Diet Smith Industries regarding a pair of misplaced (?) ‘research’ glasses.

No information or evidence has surfaced, to suggest that these losses are in anyway “connected” . . . ! ?Meetings with the police (MCU) have been held to discuss the latter two

Apparently, with this unusual backdrop the strips hero Tracy felt comfortable to go off, for a day or two to attend a Detective’s ConferenceWhile ‘AMAZINGLY’ this story has failed to ‘indicate’ if ANY Authority (Local Police, FBI, or a ‘responsible’ entity). has yet responded to (or investigated) the City’s Largest Robbery in History ?It’s days later, and it ALL - just doesn’t seem REAL ! (?)

IsTracy ‘awake’ - or still ‘sleeping’, and experiencing a bad dream ?

Do other readers here. feel “comfortable” with this ongoing, ‘uncharacteristic’ development or . . . - Lack of Activity ? ?

Tracy has aged well since 1931…its the funny pages that does it..

Only Tracy’s hairdresser knows for sure!

As far back as I can remember blue highlights were used when coloring black hair.Yes, and it’s a great colour for that but looking at the recent Sunday strips where Tracy has appeared, the streaks on him temples are grey, while the dailies have them blue.

It’s nice to see Tracy consulting his traditional cop’s flip-notebook as he fills in Pat Patton and Diet Smith on the background of Xavier Ramon Esperar. At least the aspect of the case(s) that concerns Smith is closer to solution; but it looks as though some other connections are yet to be fleshed out….
