My daughter bought “Blackstar” this past weekend & loaned it to me this morning. It’s incredible. He’s just as powerful and in great voice as any of his other albums.
current musical trends are horrible. even the one hit wonders of the 90s are so much better than the current crop of “musicians.” what is a nae nae, and a whip? it is like a really bad version of eurovision.
Every generation has their own “sound”, and it’s pretty much accepted that the previous generations won’t understand it. Personally, I can’t enjoy or understand the latest craze of the c"Rap". They aren’t songs, they are badly rhymed words chanted to what may or may not be an actual musical melody.
But I do know that many people like it, and that’s fine with me, so long as they don’t crank up the volume and inflict it on everyone else.
There’s a story of a kid like in the strip. An old guy kept staring at him. The kid said “Hey, old timer, didn’t you ever do crazy stuff when you were young?” The old guy said “Yeah. Once I got drunk and made love to a parrot. I was wondering if you might be my son.”
A lot of the classic rock stars wore suits and ties, so you could dress up like Buddy Holly or a Beatle and no one would mind, or even notice.:Elton John, on the other hand…

People keep asking for strips on whoever dies, but I don’t think BB can make strips every time a celebrity dies. It would tie the strip up.
