I miss the musicians, but let’s not forget Alan Rickman, who passed right after Bowie. As the meme with Snape says (paraphrased): I am going to an exclusive Bowie concert and you are not invited.

I hope we get to see a tribute to Glenn Frey as well. Glenn and the Eagles were the musical heroes of my teen years. I went through two copies of “Hotel California” (Three if you count the 8-track tapes) from playing it so much. While taking piano lessons for my final recital I played “Wasted Time.” There was a huge poster of the band on my wall. And to my Mom’s dismay, I painted the cover of the “On The Border” album on my bedroom wall.

Dammit, our Rock Idols aren’t supposed to die!

Thank you Glenn for giving so much to the world. Rest in peace.

There is a good video on YouTube of Bowie and Bing Crosby singing “LITTLE DRUMMER BOY” together. I think it’s off s TV show from 1974.

All the young dudes are also remembering Dale Griffin, drummer for rock group Mott The Hoople. Dale passed away Sunday evening.

BTW, Bowie wrote All the Young Dudes, produced it, and sang backup vocals on the track.

At the anime con I went to over the weekend, I saw a few people dressed up as Jareth the Goblin King, Bowie’s character from ‘Labyrinth’. Nice tribute.
