A Cubs scout would have been impressed the way he swung with his eyes closed just like some of the guys that play at Wrigley Field do. Yep, even a blind raccoon finds a dumpster every now and then. Go Cubbies!

Is this when the ball gets a vendetta for Calvin?

If Dad didn’t want the window broken he shouldn’t have installed it there.

Someone should compose another style guide. The GoComics and Pibgorn guides seem to have vanished.

Now that’s what I call a smash hit!

Back when I was in my early teens, I was playing 500 in the street outside our home along with my sister and several neighbor kids. The street was a dead end, so there was virtually zero traffic and at the very end of the street a neighbor had his car, a Cadillac, parked in the street.

Most of the fly balls landed way short of the car, so there was little danger until I hit a long fly ball! My sister, who was/is a bit of a tomboy, was backing up with her glove out to catch the ball. Unfortunately, she backed into the neighbor’s car and dropped her arm just as the ball found its mark on the driver’s side of the windshield!

My sister and I don’t talk much about that Summer day some 50 plus years ago…

I dread to think what Calvin’s punishment will be.

He’s bound to blame it on Hobbes.

First lesson; bat until you obliterate the nearest window. Second lesson (which Calvin is clearly not following); run and disappear as if you’ve never been there.

It looks like he wants his dad to be mad at him. He was super mad at him when he broke his binoculars in a future strip.
