email for more details.
Dick Tracy: âThereâs not much to go on. You see the body has converted itself into ectoplasm and we have to keep it wrapped in an air tight bag like foul-smelling helium.â
Panel 2: Iâm getting a headache trying to figure this out. Is Tracy holding that tattoo print in his left or right hand? Is Tracy left handed? Whatever, it looks like that hand has no arm, is directly attached to his shoulder.
Not like weâve seen anything sloppy like that beforeâŚ

Well, we know that Tracy has an arm growing from his stomach. Maybe he has a âunihandâ growing from his shoulder. Heâs quite a guy!
OK LocherâŚ. we got your point. Macy is dumb as dirt. Youâve made that clear for years now. And he has no sense of prudency when it comes to policework. Now move the story on, please.
Flight Suit, Youâre right after the Butterfy tatoo identification DâBucworth is DEAD and search ended. Heâll be burried and Traacy will go right along âhand in handâ with Alice in Wonderland
Thatâs the rough PLOT line of Locherâs MYSTERY stories â18 weeks of QUESTIONS 1 week of ANSWERS, followed by 1 week of FLASHBACK panels with a BONUS of 2 or 3 âcontradictionsâ !
And the BIG PLUS, it eases him from having to DESIGN a unique villain !
Iâve been in morgues before. The deal with the slab is that itâs made out of thick stainless steel and itâs on rollers (which arenât artistically represented here) and, when fully extended, locks in place into the inside edge of the cubicle. The steel is thick enough to support the weight of a dead body. This set-up doesnât require retractable legs on the foot end. Quite a handy and space efficient mechanism, actually.

Just your basic levitating Sasquatch corpse, not much to go on.

This is the part where Tracy and the rest of the cops conclude that Dâbuckworth is definitely dead and thatâs definitely his body.
It wonât be until some totally random act by some stranger that they begin to suspect things might not be as they appear.

They should attach some weights to the body before if floats away.

Mrs. DâB: âYes, thatâs his tattoo. My husband was the only person among the billions living on this planet who had that tattoo.â

Dang, that butterfly is in pretty good shape for being the âremnants of a large tattooâ. Some remnants!

Good artwork, except for the hand in the second panel. The story is good but not great, as always. SobâŚ

Ooohhh! Look, in panel three the bodyâs potruding over the edge of the panel. Like it was actually in 3-D! Ooooooh!
Well, itâs the most exciting thing to happen in this strip in the last few months, anywayâŚ

If the Pathologist canât find a âcause of deathâ, maybe whoever it is, IS still âALIVEâ (?)
Is Locher introducing a Zombie into the strip for the first time ?

Panel-Panner is right-You could go nuts staring at the drawing in the middle panel.

At any moment, we may see David Copperfield nearby, causing that body to float. Or perhaps, he will simply walk through it.

The body looks in pretty good shape to me.

Looks like Mrs.3-D identified the âBlue Butterflyâ, NOT the body ! ?
Will we ever hear the CAUSE of death ?
Will David Dierdorph DâBuckworth be declared DEAD ?
A childish omission to get bothersome (accurate) tests out of the way, to direct readers to think the Street Beggar is 3-D in disguise ?
See the coming PLOY to further move your mind there.

I spy Bassman Bob with a Blue Butterfly! Forget about 3-D ⌠Iâm much happier to see 4-B!
Welcome Back, Bassman Bro!
Say, isnât there a Blue Butterfly cult in BioShock 2, or something?
