That’s why I started sleeping in the basement 25 years ago, and even in the basement bedroom, I have AC.

I’m just wondering what it’s like sleeping on a soaking wet squishy pillow. I can’t imagine that is very comfortable.

It’s soooo hot, even the HOUSE is feeling it! That roof looks like it’s gonna collapse! That’s what it feels like in Toronto today! I was in church, nice and cool and perfect. Get outside, and it’s like a slap in the face and a kick in the testicles!

That’s not a half-bad idea. Add some ice cubes and it would be perfect, for a while.

BTW, it hit 100 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science today, with a heat index of 111. It’s still 98 with a heat index of 105. Needless to say, I’m not going anywhere today.

The closest thing I could use as a swimming pool is my kitchen sink.

I remember my Grandma catching cats in the back yard and rubbing them down with old rancid bacon drippings. Killed the fleas and cleaned out the cats when they licked it off.

I could just see my 3 cats doing that. Qizzie might stay around But Blackie & Mavie would be history.

Just one other thing while I’m thinking about it. What ever happened to Luann & Perils Before Swine. The Comics suck without them. I want the Crocs back. There’s a lot of other suck type cartoons they could of got rid of first. I guess the editor of the paper didn’t like seeing himself in the Pearls cartoon “The Rat”

Johanan Rakkav, I was in Houston several days last week for a funeral and it averaged 100 degrees every day I was there. I stayed in all I could, but it is cooler there than it is here in N. Arkansas where it has been 106 most days and hit 115 one day last week. Despite the Gulf, our humidity is also higher. I can’t do anything out side after about 8 AM

Go on, dump that lemonade in his snorkel. I dare you.
