Hey diddle diddleThe physicists fiddleThe bleep jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed To see such sport,And died the following June.(by Paul Dehn)
Snoopy was Calvin before anyone even knew who Calvin was, but was never really compared to Snoopy. Now, anyone that appears remotely close to Calvin, get’s called a rip off.
This reminds me of the Snoopy astronaut doll I had. My mother let me take it to elementary school for the first moon landing, and the teacher put it on the stand by the tv (they put tv’s in all 6 classrooms so we could watch the historic event).
Mmmm…..Alpo in a squeeze tube…..Actually, I imagine, much in the same way a PBJ is better outdoors, whatever you’ve got in a squeeze tube is better, while looking out at the big blue marble, hanging in space.
This strip may be timed with Apollo 10 (May 1969), the final test flight (in lunar orbit) before the landing two months later. The Command Module was called “Charlie Brown” and the LM was “Snoopy”.

Charlie Brown, you are on report. You will have to find a way to the moon to feed Snoopy.

And how is he going to eat his kibble through that space helmet?

What if he’s back from the moon by suppertime, Charlie Brown?
nosirrom about 9 years ago
Why is Snoopy upset? Once he gets to the moon there will be plenty of cheese to eat.

Just feed him in advance and you won’t have to worry.
